The Beauty And Whimsy Of Dancing Water Fountains

Dancing water fountains have been dazzling spectators for many years. Programmed by computers to shoot water to specific heights at specific intervals, dancing water fountains can be set to music, lights, and (as witnessed at certain holiday events) even to coincide with firework displays. These fountains must always be installed by a professional, and can be custom built to fit your particular need.

If you have the space for a large dancing fountain, it can be programmed to go off at certain times of the day, choreographed to whatever music you like, and set with lights to create an amazing show. Typically not for home garden use, dancing water fountains can be rather expensive. But for anyone who wants to add a little whimsy, and a lot of elegance to an office courtyard, dancing water fountains are an amazing invention.

    The Fountains At The Bellagio

The Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada is one of the most famous dancing water fountains in the world today. A quarter of a mile long, the fountains at the Bellagio has twelve hundred different spray nozzles that shoot water into the sky as high as 240 feet, and over four thousand lights. These dancing water fountains are set to go off every fifteen to thirty minutes, and have been cunningly orchestrated to correspond to a varied selection of music.

    The Fountains Of Angels

In Carthage, Missouri you will find the Fountain Of Angels, a spectacular creation that offers an incredible light and music show lasting approximately 20 minutes. These dancing water fountains are comprised of over 200 bronze sculptures; and are an array of foam jets, arches, an eighty foot water screen, as well as a beautiful candelabra fountain that contains an additional sixty water jets. These dancing water fountains are quite popular with local churchgoers, as the light show has been synchronized to popular gospel music.

    In Your Own Backyard

Dancing water fountains, while certainly not cheap, are well worth the expense for the beauty and fascination they provide. Smaller fountains for home use are available, but they tend to be rather expensive, going for roughly $800 for a small fifteen-inch diameter-floating fountain. These smaller water fountains, although perhaps within your budget, do not offer the grandiose displays of their larger counterparts, and often cannot be programmed, as they are self-contained units.

Whether you choose to purchase your own dancing water fountains, or simply enjoy the many around the world that thousands have admired on their travels, the fact remains that dancing water fountains are a spectacular sight to behold.
